Keep Your Identity Safe
Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest-growing crimes in our country. We understand that your trust in us depends on how well we are able to protect your personal and account information. Therefore, we take guarding your information very seriously.

To help keep your identity safe and secure, here are a few reminders and tips.

Reminders

We will NEVER contact you via email, phone, or text message asking for confidential or sensitive information.
We will never ask you for your account number, PIN, SSN, credit card number or other personally identifiable information via email or text message.
When you call us, please ensure you have dialed the credit union's phone number located in the Contact Us section of our website. Our associates will take steps to verify your identity when you call.
All unsolicited requests for your personal information should be considered fraudulent.

Tips

Utilize our Bill Pay service to avoid sending paper checks by mail.
Do not click on links or attachments from senders that you do not recognize. Be especially wary of .zip or other compressed or executable file types.
Do not respond to or click on links in text messages from senders you do not know.
Protect your personal information online and think twice before posting your job title, multiple email addresses, full name, and date of birth.
Create strong passwords that contain letters, numbers, and special characters for all your accounts.
Do not use the same password for multiple accounts — no matter how strong it is — because if one account gets compromised, then they're all compromised.
Review your personal credit report on a regular basis to help prevent identity-related fraud. By federal law, you have the right to obtain a free copy of your credit report. To get a free copy of your credit report, visit www.annualcreditreport.com.

If you have received a suspicious email or other fraudulent correspondence regarding our credit union, please forward it to info@guardianscu.coop and contact us immediately at (561) 686-4006.
